In this term, I have learned how to use photoshop and premier pro in more depth because before I knew how to use it but now, it feels like I know how to use it in more detail and develop more skills on the softwares.

I have learn how to develop my camera skills better in filming and a little bit in photography but mainly filming. For example, in filming, I have learned how to have a wider range of camera shots, and have a wider variety such as doing pan shots and taking shots from different angles. I have also learn how to do continuity editing properly and I remember the 4 things you need to know about it.

There hasn't been anything that I have not enjoyed.

3 targets for me to develop by Christmas is to:
Take more notes in class so that it can be easier to do my assignments
Get involved more in group discussions
Try to be less disruptive in lessons

Thursday 14th December 2017:
During my production today (14/12/17) what I done was recorded the foley sounds and recorded the dialogue using a road mic for each one. By using the road mic, it allowed me to record sounds so that when we use it in our scene, it will be a nice sound so it would go well with the footage. My role was to record the sounds and dialogue and act as back up director. What I learned was how to use a road mic because it was my first time using one so it enabled me to develop skills on using a road mic. The problems me and the group faced was recording the dialogue. What happened was the dance group was playing load music so we couldn't record the sound whilst they were playing their music or we wouldn't be able to hear the actors dialogue. How we as a group over came it was that we decided to record the dialogue separately in a different room which was much quieter. By doing this, we was able to record the dialogue very well with no distractions. But during editing, we may have to lip sync the audio and the footage because it may not be 100% accurate. Another problem was sorting out actors. Initially, we had one person in charge of getting the actors sorted but that group member failed because the actors she got were in lesson and they were free from 4-5 but we needed to record by 1:30. How we overcame it was y getting 2 other actors to step in and learn the lines and they done it very well so I would say that it was a success even though we encountered some difficulties.

Friday 12th January 2018:
I found working with my group was good because I felt that we worked well as a group and we got all the work done quickly and to the best of our ability.

What I've gained in production was working better in a group and I experienced recording sound for the first sound.

What I've gained in post - production was saving files in the same place so that next time I wont be able to spend a long time locating the files that I've saved in a different place.

Thursday 18th January 2018:
During my lessons yesterday and today morning, me and my group members edited our first music video. I started off by locating some of my media because I must of saved it in a different folder so what I done was put all my media into one folder so I can continue with my edit. I felt that our production went very well because we had no problems when whilst we were filming. Although during editing, we then spotted 1 small problem that there was too much light exposure. This means that whilst we were filming, there was too much lighting. This was caused by the sun because we was filming outside. When we was filming, it went well because all our shots were in focus. By our shots being in focus, it meant that we would get nice, clean and good quality footage. I thought that the camera movements we done was good although we could of added 1 more type of camera movement. We had the camera movements: 360 degree - this is where the camera goes around in a circle filming the centre person and the other camera technique we used was a mid shot. As a group, we couldn't do all 3 things that we set out to do because the final thing we set out to do is to add flashing effects but I didn't know how to do it and I didn't have enough time to find out how to do it for myself. If I use these techniques for my video then all I would need to do extra is to get myself a lot more footage so that it would be easier for me to edit because I would have a wider range of footage to select from and then I would be able to have more cuts in the music video.
